On Sunday 27th we began our adventure, with 5 students from Madre María Rosa Molas College, towards France to participate in the Exposition of Toulouse.
On Monday we visited La Cité de l’espace, a theme park dedicated to everything related to space. As soon as we entered, we were able to admire a space shuttle and a full-scale station. Throughout the park, we learned how an astronaut prepares himself, the parts that make up a ship, the constellations, the solar system, etc. We also had a lot of fun because there were plenty of experiments and games for all ages.
The next day we started the exhibitions with our colleagues from Luxembourg, Morocco and France. There were projects on astrology, water wind turbines, sensor glasses to warn us when incident light could be harmful to our eyes, biodiversity in cities…
In the evening we had the long-awaited Cultural Night. Each of the participating countries made a small presentation of our cities, typical foods, music, traditional costumes, etc. We finished the presentation dancing La Macarena and, once again, part of the audience joined in
On Wednesday we had the 2nd day of exhibitions and we had time to participate in some workshops. Unfortunately, that morning the goodbyes began. In the afternoon we had the closing ceremony. Then we were taken to Le Capitole, where the mayor prepared a small reception for us, including a snack.
In the evening there were only two delegations left, so it was an intimate dinner.
On Thursday the 31st we were leaving for home. It was a very nice experience. We met many people from different countries, we learned a little more about science and the cultures around us.
